Data protection at Demokratia.fi

The following personal data are stored in the user register of the demokratia.fi website:

  • name
  • email address

When you order material from us, we also store the following data:

  • street address
  • postal code and city
  • telephone number

The personal data to be stored in the user register are collected from the site visitors themselves and they are only used for delivering the materials ordered and for processing the user feedback given. All personal data will be deleted once the order has been delivered or feedback has been replied to and we no longer need the data.

Personal data can be processed by public officials responsible for maintaining the website at the Ministry of Justice and the website software supplier.

Personal data may be disclosed to third parties within the limits of the legislation in force. For example, the personal data of persons suspected of interference with communications may be disclosed to the police for the purpose of solving the offence. Personal data will not be disclosed or transferred outside the European Union or European Economic Area.

You can request a copy of your personal data stored in the service by contacting the controller by email, by post or in person. When making such a request, you must prove your identity and thereby your right to check the data. You can also request the controller to remove your personal data from the service or to correct or supplement the data. In such a case, please tell us what data is incorrect and why and how it should be changed, or tell us what data should be supplemented and how.
